AMERICA UNCOVERED

California Recall Election: Republican Takeover?

Californians are set to vote Sept. 14 on whether to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom. His handling of the pandemic, along with flouting his own public safety guidelines, has angered many in the state, and if he's voted out, it doesn't look likely it will be someone from his own party will replace him. Conservative talk show host Larry Elder is leading the pack of candidates for his job. If Larry Elder win, this could be a big change for the state, because it hasn't had a Republican governor since Arnold Schwarzenegger left office in 2011. Watch this episode of America Uncovered for why there could be a Republican takeover, what Larry Elder's chances are, and why, despite being black, he's the face of white supremacy (just to be clear, that's not us saying that).
